Fiji and USA
Getting to experience travel with your loved ones is such an awesome thing. I was lucky enough to be able to travel with Mya to the USA for her to begin her swimming and academic scholarship of four years at SVSU (Saginaw Valley State University) in Michigan. I really like the Fiji Airways flight that allows you to have a stopover in Fiji in either direction to the USA, we wanted to experience their new service to Dallas, which was just fantastic, we booked comfort, which allows free pre-seating but the real bonus for us was the 2 x 30kg bags in each direction (which left me with a 7kg carry on for the entire trip!). After my trip last year, I wanted to go back and properly visit a couple of my favourite resorts, Blue Lagoon and Paradise Cove Resorts, both are in different locations in the Yasawa's offering various activities, it was awesome to be able to experience the new fast boat service, this will be a game changer for many clients. I really wanted to stretch Mya a little out of her comfort zone before heading to the USA, so for her swimming with the Manta ray and entering a cave was a little outside what she would normally do. But she stepped up to the challenge and did both and loved the experience. Travel always provides this for me, stretching me a little as a person and allowing me to experience new things. Then we travelled onto Dallas, for a Dallas Cowboy's game, being totally honest we went for the Dallas Cowboy's Cheerleaders, but the entire game experience was exhilarating to say the least, and everybody was so friendly. We only had two nights in Dallas, so time to do a little bit of jean shopping (for long legged) Mya, I have some fabulous tips for shopping in Dallas, just hit me up. Then we headed to Saginaw Valley and spent the next few days getting her sorted in her room and school. I was able to keep working throughout the trip, luckily Wi-Fi was brilliant, so it meant I did not fall too far behind. A few tears on my departure, but back into the swing of life and loving our daily updates from her.
